The River Of Doubt.

In the first article it talks about how Theodore Rosevelt and some explorers went to explore Brazil’s River of Doubt. It said that Theodore had fallen when walking and split open his leg which then leads to making him become ill. It said that Theodore had been concealing a vial of morphine which he had used to try to heal himself which it didn’t help him. He then told his son Kermit to go with the others and go onward with their journey and that he would stay behind. So later Theodore was given a chance to go to South America and speak, which gave him the opportunity to go to New York and see his son Kermit. The only thing in his way was reaching the banks which included a grueling 1 month journey across the Brazilian Highlands, and I didn’t help them much that they were running low on supplies. Also when they arrived at the bank they had seen their canoes that they had purchased in the water with holes in them and they were hard to steer. The journey was long and painful, but eventually with the help of Rondon, who was a local native, they made their way.

In the second article it basically talks about the same thing. It says that Theodore was caught up in a lot of political things in America and he needed to get away from it all. So he decided to go on a trip to see his son in South America. What he thought was going to be a nice trip with amazing sites turned into and adventure into the most dangerous uncharted land in the heart of the Amazon rain forest. The trip went from tour to survival with all the dangers they faced. All because Roosevelt was asked to go explore the Amazons 1,000 mile long river known as The River of Doubt.

Some of the similar facts that the two articles share is that Theo was exploring a river in the Amazon. They both also tell that it was a very long and painful journey for Roosevelt and his men. Also they both menschen that Theo was accompanied by Rondon, who was one of South America’s greatest explorers.

Some of the differences between the two articles is that in the first article it says that Theo is already in the Amazon and he gets hurt and that he wants to go back to the states to see Kermit.

In the additional article I searched it says just like the other two articles that TR was going to see his son Kermit and he was offered to go and explore the Amazons River of Doubt. He faced many challenges on his journey like losing men, having low amounts of food, and injuries. It took the men almost 40-days to reach the end of their journey. Over 2,000 species of birds and 500 mammals had been collected for further study. After the fact the river was renamed Roosevelt River by the Brazilian government.
